Are the K's any good I've seen some lately go cheap for 604's?
From what I gathered doing some reading up on them, they are ferrite magnets and an improved crossover.

Really, I've heard you guys nit pick the differences between the same style but different rendition of speakers across the Altec lines. Is this a hairline difference and they all still sound like Altec? My only reference is ancient memory of my A7-500's and recent 418-8h/ B32 A8 clones. They both sound like Altecs and both sound wonderful. Maybe I'm just lucky I haven't had the opportunity to hear the best of the best and don't know any better...Originally Posted by badtoby

Even without the original XOs, that seems like a good deal. I bid on them, but just not yet comfortable to know what value to place on them.
